Bassey Calls Kudus ‘Star Boy’ Following World Cup Goals
Ajax player Mohammed Kudus has been dubbed a “star child on fire” by Nigerian defender Calvin Bassey after his heroics helped Ghana upset South Korea 3-2 on Monday at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The 22-year-old became a hero for the Black Stars in the Group H match at the Education City Stadium after scoring twice.
With a spectacular header, Southampton’s Mohammed Salisu gave Ghana the lead before Kudus made it 2-0.
Cho Gue-sung hit a quick double to put South Korea on level terms but Kudus had the last laugh after he struck the winner to hand the Black Stars their first victory at the ongoing tournament in Qatar.
