Osimhen has established himself as one of the most in-demand strikers in Europe after to his successful two seasons with the Italian team.

The 23-year-old joined Napoli in 2020 for a club-record £81m plus ads deal and quickly established himself as a key member of the team.

The Super Eagles forward lead the Italian Serie A in goalscoring despite an injury-plagued season, scoring nine goals in 11 games to help Luciano Spalleti’s team finish first in the league standings and ahead of Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.

The former Lille player has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United while several top clubs in Europe including Chelsea and Real Madrid have also constantly been credited with an interest in the striker.

While Liverpool recently signed Uruguayan star Darwin Nunez following the departure of Sadio Mane to Bayern Munich, Anfield great Heskey believes the Reds should go all out to sign the Nigerian, whom he believed has the qualities the club required.

“He would certainly give them something different to what they have now,” Heskey told Safe betting site (as per Anfield Watch).

“He’s different from Nunez who can play out wide; Osimhen would be that central goal threat.

“He’s quick, has an eye for goal, and can finish really well with both feet. He’s a top player. I think Napoli paid quite a lot for him, so that’s why he’s commanding a £100m transfer fee.

“I saw him score against Leicester last season in the Europa League and he’s a top striker and would certainly enhance Liverpool’s options in attack without a doubt.

“He’s a phenomenal player, and I think his pace means he would be very much suited to the Premier League.”

Osimhen, who recently won the Global Soccer’s “Emerging Young Player of the Year” award in Doha, is currently taking a break due to the Eagles’ failure to qualify for the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
