The JAMB Act Amendment Bill, which on Thursday passed the second reading in the House, included a proposal to extend the validity of the results.

The legislation is named “A Bill for an Act to Amend the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (Establishment, Etc.) Act, 2021, and Other Related Matters,” and it is sponsored by Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, a representative from Oyo State in the House.

Akande-Sadipe claims that the modification is intended to reform the current Act, particularly the duration of the registrar’s term, the composition of the board, and other issues.
