The D’Tigers of Nigeria fell to Ivory Coast in their inaugural matchup during the fourth window of the ongoing FIBA World Cup qualifiers.

The Ivorians, who were unblemished, overpowered the Nigerians, beating them 78-66 on Friday, August 27, at Sports Treichville in Abidjan.
After three losses in their previous five games, the D’Tigers remain in fourth place in Group E with the loss.
Nigeria plays Guinea on August 27 before taking against Angola the following day.
The top two teams from the group will book automatic tickets to the FIBA 2023 World Cup billed for Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines between August 25 and September 10, 2023.
