Phantom Labs, a firm that organizes events, is suing rapper Kanye West on the grounds that he reportedly owes them $7 million for a number of tasks they have been contracted to complete since last year, including planning his postponed Coachella performance.

The business asserts that they started working with West in the fall of 2021 to rehabilitate an industrial warehouse that the rapper planned to turn into a creative studio, per the records, which were published by Variety magazine. But he never paid for that undertaking.

“Of the approximately 7,154,177.67 dollars owed, Defendants have not paid Phantom one cent, despite repeated requests for payment and providing Defendants detailed back-up,” the suit claims.

“To the contrary, upon information and belief, since receiving this information, Defendants and their representatives have circumvented Phantom, and attempted to pay directly certain of Phantom’s vendors and merchants that Defendants want to work with in the future.”

Among the other assignments taken on by Phantom Labs that West also failed to pay for were several concerts in his ‘Sunday Services’ series.

The company also organized the Miami event on which Kanye announced the release of his latest album, Donda 2, in February this year, and for which they are demanding 2.2 million dollars.

In addition, the plaintiffs are also claiming more than one million dollars that they had to pay when West pulled out of the Coachella music festival before it was due to begin.

According to the lawsuit, West‘s representatives agreed to pay Phantom Labs five million dollars in back payments in exchange for organizing his Coachella concert.

Also Sued By A Costume Rental Company

A few days ago, West was sued by a suit rental company that claims that the rapper failed to return 13 items and has unpaid rental fees. They are claiming 400,000 dollars.
