The Catholic Priest from Anambra, along with lyricist Lucy Kiely from Australia, won the Song for the Commonwealth competition in January, according to Commonwealth Resounds.

Chinemelu penned ‘A Life Lived With Grace,’ which is being sung around the world as beacons are lit in honor of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. Chinemelu is a multi-instrumentalist who plays the piano, flute, cello, trumpet, alto sax, and guitar.

Choirs and communities from all 54 Commonwealth countries have been invited to join in the celebrations by singing their own versions of the song during the lighting of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Beacons on June 2nd.
