The endorsement of candidates for elected office by Nigerian celebrities is heavily influenced by money, according to veteran actor Chiwetalu Agu.

The actor expressed his displeasure over what he claimed to be the lack of morals and integrity displayed by some musicians, who he claimed let money influence their views.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, Agu said, “I am not in that family (of actors). It (endorsement) depends on personal interest because politics is no longer the profession of sanitized citizens.
