This Is Why Shawn Mendes Cancelled His World Tour

Shawn Mendes, a 23-year-old Canadian musician, has canceled the remaining shows on his world tour after first delaying a handful of them so he could concentrate on his mental health.

This choice had an impact on the dates in North America and Europe.

Mendes announced the cancellation on social media, stating that he wasn’t prepared to deal with the harder challenges of returning to touring after a break.

“After speaking more with my team and working with an incredible group of health professionals, it has become more clear that I need to take the time I’ve never taken personally, to ground myself and come back stronger.”

His World Tour Had Started In June

This international tour was planned as a support to his album “Wonder” and it started in June, but after just a couple of presentations, Mendes announced he needed a three-week break.

In his social media post announcing the cancellation, he also expressed how he thought that the break would be enough to continue, but has realized that he has to prioritize his health above everything, but left his fans a promise.

All over social media Shawn Mendes’ friends, peers and fans started sharing their support for his decision of focusing on his mental health.
