Brendan Carr, a member of the US Federal Communications Commission, is now refocusing attention on the app.

In an official letter, he even asked that it be removed from the Google and Apple app stores.

Carr has issued a warning that TikTok is harmful to the country.

“It’s not just an app for sharing videos or memes. It’s a wolf in sheep’s clothing,” Carr stated.

“TikTok collects everything from search and browsing histories to keystroke patterns and biometric identifiers, including facial and voice prints.”
