WAFCON: Botswana Hopes To Defeat The Falcons
The 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations is now taking place in Morocco. Botswana will play Nigeria in their second Group C match on Thursday in an effort to advance further in the competition.

The Mares started their campaign with a 4-2 triumph against Burundi on Monday, in contrast to Nigeria’s 2-1 loss to rival South Africa in their first game.Inspired by former South African president Nelson Mandela and buoyed by the victory, Botswana Football Association President MacLean Letshwiti expressed his belief that his women may shock the nine-time champions once more.
“Let me congratulate the Mares for putting an excellent shift at work, defeating Burundi by a convincing 4-2 score line at the ongoing Wafcon tournament here in Morocco,” Letshwiti told the Botswana FA website.
