On Friday, Will Smith apologized to Chris Rock once more and said he still hasn’t earned his friend’s forgiveness for hitting him on the Oscars stage.

Smith claimed that after spending the previous three months “working on himself,” he has come to see just how many people Rock’s onstage slap caused harm to.

‘I’ve reached out to Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk when he is, he will reach out. So I will say to you, Chris, I apologize to you. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here whenever you’re ready to talk.’
